In the very first Presidential debate both candidates forget to address the most important issue facing the United States much like all politicians across the country which could cripple a naion already struggling to survive. Despite all the good news involving a vaccine for COVID-19 and the recent news that less people were dying from contracting it many of the elected officials seem to be blind to factual reasoning and statistical data that by having the nation continue to remain open it will lead to many more fatalities.
Our nation like many other countries have decided to conduct business as usually due to the fear of a economic depression. This fear is the reason why their is a sudden rise in infections across the spectrum and unless the current Administration with both parties do not address this severe matter the United States will have a projected increase of deaths and infections over the next seven to ten months. Masks alone do not protect everyone and in most cases due to a unified psychological break younger Americans have begun to dismiss any preventative measures.
COVID-19 may not cause deaths in every younger American but as a better understanding of the disease it causes come forth the neurological damage is appearing to be long term and perhaps permanent. The physical damage as well is still not understood as well but the medical field and the CDC agreed that this disease is something that does not allow for a long term immunity as many people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 twice, and though the second time around it has less effect it is not known if people even with a vaccine can gain permanent immunity. So as we watch President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden bicker about ever other issue that faces our nation, they are not addressing the most vital directly, which is what to do immediately to prevent a collapse of our nation economical come next June 2021, when at that the disease will have been transmitted to 80 percent of Americans.
