In this day and age space has once become a hot topic despite the lack of funding for Government agencies such as NASA in the United States. Other countries though have engaged in Government funding for space exploration such as China, India, Russia, and other European Nations. Privatization is now becoming the new means for the United States to keep up with the new space race and even perhaps may open up a better path in space exploration as it is very profitable. Rare minerals within asteroids and meteorites can be mined and sold as plans to capture these objects and put them around the moon’s orbits is something that has been worked on by both NASA and companies like Space X. China has developed a method to capture the Sun’s energy using a large solar array around the moon and then sending it to Earth providing unlimited energy usage. Then we have Mars and the prospect of creating colonies and marketing flights as exotic vacations. The excitement of Space is here and with the Webb Telescope searching for exoplanets in detail coming up soon makes the idea of space something that every nation has a stock in.
Even with all the excitement of the new discoveries and ideas of the Universe, humanity still has much to do in order to achieve the goals put ahead. The idea of interstellar space travel is still being reviewed as projects such as the Star Shot Initiative in which they take a small paperclip object and launch it the quarter the speed of light to the nearest Galaxy. Then we have new theories of Electromagnetic entanglement, Magnetic linkage, solar wind sails, and alas wormholes. But mankind has not come closer to even breaking down the understanding of applying it to travel in space. But despite all these questions without definitive answers every nation is engaged in the new “Space Race” which has become a hot political undertone topic in the United Space which has lead the creation of the Space Force an entire new branch of the United States military.
